I don’t know why I decide to check on the status of approaching hurricanes right before bed. It puts me in panic mode and I most likely won’t be able to sleep now. I’ve been closely watching the status and projected path of Hurricane Earl for the last few days and have been hoping and praying it takes the more eastern path predicted because if it comes close to us or hits us, we might as well just build an ark. Seriously! Back in 2003, we basically got a direct hit from Tropical Storm Isabel and my house was literally an inch away from flooding. Earl is a Category FOUR Hurricane and is expected to maybe even strengthen a bit by tomorrow. We will be toast.

It’s even more scary that when you watch the Weather Channel they admittedly say.. “We just don’t know.” when talking about the path of the Hurricane. If we were going to evacuate, we should have already left because there is no way we’ll be able to get out fast enough now with all the traffic problems we have around here. So I’m just praying it really does take a hard turn and starts heading East but I’m seriously starting to worry because they keep saying it’s going to turn and I just keep seeing that bulldozer storm just steadily heading in the same direction.

Anyway, before I send myself into panic mode, I guess I should change the subject! Shopping this weekend was amazing! I got some new earrings and an adorable wooden Halloween sign that is all glammed up with black and purple glitter and reads “Happy Haunting”. SO excited for the Fall! Then I went with last night when my sister, Sarah was getting her ears re-pierced and got some more earrings and a necklace. I swear some things never change. I still love Claire’s Accessories like I did when I was in Middle School!

I’m still on my girly kick and have been obsessing (more than usual) over makeup and nail polish and all that fun stuff. I just painted my nails a little more elaborately than I have been too. I’m pretty happy with them but I think once these start chipping I’m going to try something else! Feeling really creative where nails/makeup is concerned lately! Which is unfortunate for my other hobbies. I haven’t made jewelry in months! Pretty shameful, especially considering painting my nails and doing makeup doesn’t earn me any extra cash and Christmas is just around the corner.

I finally caught up on last season’s Gossip Girl which was far better than the promos suggested and now I think I’m going to get caught up on Pretty Little Liars. I watched the Pilot episode and it’s really interesting and different from all the rest of those types of shows! Can’t wait to find out what happens!

Other than that I’ve been immersing myself in foreign languages. I’ve always wanted to be multi-lingual and find that it’s really easy for me to pick up new languages so I’m going to refresh my Español and see if I can become fluent in it and then will tackle French, Italian and German. I know I’m probably crazy to think I can do this in any sort of timely fashion but hey! It’s a completely constructive hobby to have is it not? I’m excited! Anyway! I’m going to hit the sack! I think blogging has helped to settle my mind a bit. Definitely send some good vibes and prayers in the general direction of the East Coast. I really hope Earl stays as far away from the coast as possible!

Okay first I have a random confession. Ever notice how my subject lines have a similar motif? Yeah, I often type a shorthand list of things I want to talk about in my blog. I do it so that <strike>if</strike> when I get distracted, I’ll remember what I had planned to post about. I fail.

So first up! I had a really spectacular day! Which is surprising considering I woke up in a total grumpy mood. Why yes, someone apparently did pee in my cornflakes. Actually, I just stayed up far too late last night and that usually is the main cause for me ever being less than my usual happy self. Fortunately, as the day went on I woke up and cheered up! It also was a big boost when my Step-Mom said I looked great (referring to my weight lost) and then my Dad (who is the least observant person I know) actually noticed I lost weight. He saw me eating yogurt and was like.. “Yogurt is good isn’t it? Good for you too! Low in fat, right?” I answered by reading him how many calories, total fat and fiber was in my yogurt and he replied saying “You’ve lost some weight, haven’t you?” Then I told him I have lost 30 pounds (well, actually 29.5) and he was like “WOW! I wish I could!” I was about to tell him that he could if he joined Weight Watchers but then he mentioned he needed to clean out his garage so he could use his exercise equipment (something he’s been saying for at least 15 years). Perhaps another time I’ll sell him on Weight Watchers.

So these new changes in my life have me excited for the future and as mentioned in my last post, all into the girly stuff. I have this insane urge to go shopping. Which works out because Dad invited me to go along with the family to ride the Ferry and go to the Prime Outlets in Williamsburg. I haven’t been there since I was 12 and A LOT has changed since then. I’m so excited. I’m going to shop til I drop. Really, probably window shop or dream shop. Because I will be seeing all these amazing clothes and things that I’m so looking forward to wearing someday in the future! Speaking of.. my sister, Sarah, was wearing this new shirt today which is ABSOLUTELY adorable. If it was something I’d be comfortable wearing right now, I totally would buy it myself. It just further excites me for the future and motivates me to work even harder! As such, I actually worked out tonight. I don’t usually work out at night, but I think I’m going to try making time for it. Allow myself more time to sleep instead of working out in the morning!

And finally, I’ve been wanting to post about this next topic for a while but by the time I type up a blog, I’ve been forgetting to mention it. Some of you may or may not know, but last year my Mom went to the doctor and they told her she had high blood pressure and high cholesterol so they ran some tests and they found that my Mom’s heart showed signs of having a mild heart attack at some point. She never even realized. Pretty scary stuff! Anyway, so since then she’s been trying several different prescriptions for her blood pressure and cholesterol. All of which have had really weird side effects so she had to stop taking them. In this process they did some blood work and my Mom’s psycho doctor decided to inform her that her blood sugar levels were off. So she schedules a test to check for diabetes and has now told my Mom she has diabetes. My Mom has a few friends that are diabetic and she told them what her blood sugar levels were and they told her that her levels were NORMAL. Since then she’s done a lot of research and even bought herself a tester and yeah, her levels are NORMAL. In fact they aren’t BAD, they aren’t GOOD.. they’re EXCELLENT. I swear the incompetence of doctors these days is outright scary. It’s like they’re just trying to diagnose us with all these problems to keep us coming back and keep the drug companies afloat.

People wonder why so many celebs these days have accidental prescription drug overdoses? These doctors are out of control! They prescribe you drugs which cause several other problems and then they prescribe drugs for those too! It’s a never-ending cycle! I’m so glad I choose the Homeopathic route. Doctors can sit and spin. I’m living until I’m 100. You watch. No prescription medicine for me!

Life is good! I’m hoping it keeps on this upward motion because I like it! I’m feeling my confidence grow every week as the scale keeps going down and it’s such an amazing feeling! I’ve now lost a total of 28.8 pounds since joining Weight Watchers. Yeah, it’s been four months and some people have lost much more in much shorter periods of time but I don’t really care how slow/fast I lose the weight, as long as I lose it in the long run! It’s been really awesome to see the small changes in my appearance. I don’t really notice much of a change for the most part but I delight in the little things! For instance, the definition in my knees is much more noticeable now. I actually am starting to like my legs? I’m actually comfortable crossing my legs now. For many years, in fact as long as I can remember, my legs have been so pudgy that crossing them was actually sorta uncomfortable. Not anymore! Little things, oh how I love thee! Hopefully, more and more of these little things will keep becoming noticeable until it creates a whole.

As such, I’m feeling the hidden girly-girl inside of me finally coming out! I’m finding this desire lately to embrace it! I love bright bold happy colors and I love “cute” things. I’ve always loved makeup (just ask anyone who knows me in real life) and love painting my nails in funky colors with funky designs. Lately, this has increased tenfold! I want to go on a shopping spree for cute girly things like makeup and clothes and anything and everything else. I did splurge a little bit and bought some of the new lime crime magic dusts. Can’t wait for them to come in. I also ordered some MUCH needed eyeshadow brushes from Sephora, one was one of their brushes and then I also got a set of the tokidoki brushes from the oodles of adorable tokidoki goodies they are selling. I couldn’t resist the complete and utter cuteness!

I gotta behave for a while now though. I’ve been doing really well of saving my money lately and with the holidays coming up soon, I probably should keep to the essentials for a while. I’m also saving up for a new car. I’m going to get a Ford Fiesta. They’re just really cute cars and right up my alley and something that would work perfectly for me. I’m aiming to get it sometime in the Fall, so we’ll see! I know Keight is excited about it, because that means she can have the same “first” car that I had! She’ll probably inherit the good ol’ PT Cruiser. It’s been a good little car to have for the last several years and I must confess I’m going to miss it!

Other than that, things have been really good. Friendship-wise things are in a good place. I’m working on meeting new people, getting to know others better, and strengthening current friendships. It’s a good feeling and nice to know where I stand with my friends these days. It’s nice having the communication lines open and not being afraid to be honest. CHEERS! Also, since a post isn’t complete without at least one plug. I was going to make some Inception stamps for Bliss MB tonight, but a blog was in order. Perhaps tomorrow! If you haven’t joined yet, Fridays are the best day to join! Stamp Friday! Just our little TCG. I know my tumblr people might be curious about Inception stamps. Oh and maybe these?

There’s tons more where these came from too! In fact there’s a list of all the sets we have right here! If you join just remember that Angela Ashley referred you! We have lots more than just a TCG too. Friendly people and fun times and we’d be absolutely stoked if you decided to join us!

Once again I basically failed to update more often this week. I think it’s safe to say instead I’ve been wasting time at work. I had a really odd week. I was able to waste time at work and I’m not really even sure how (although I think tumblr plays a large part in this). I know I did some work on blissmb.net for the most part. We had a couple new members join that I’m really loving. I swear even after 8 years, nothing makes me happier than when a new member joins and actually sticks around and posts! I hope they keep coming around!

So I guess I can scratch off one thing on my To Do List I posted last week but the problem is I just need to prioritize and determine what is the most important thing that I need to be doing and get it done! I think that step is key for me. Otherwise I get frazzled and lose what little motivation I had.

One thing I’ve been doing, that goes hand in hand with working on a Message Board, is getting back into making graphics. There are two things that motivate me most to make graphics. Great pictures and great fonts. So I decided to add a little more fonts to my collection and make a few requests for people! All of which were similar to the one I made for myself:

Sometimes a simple font with a splash of color and a simple pattern just does the trick! I’m hoping that it will spark enough creativity that I can make a theme or two for blissmb.net as well! We’ll see how it goes.

My journey on lucid dreaming has been quite a roller coaster this week. Definitely haven’t had any lucid dreams but I have been having 2-4 dreams each night that, for the most part, I can recall in great detail. Apparently this is an important part of eventually learning to lucid dream. I’ve been jotting down all the dreams I can remember in a notebook and I finally got a notebook today that I can use solely for that purpose.

I also got some closure this week on something that has been weighing me down a lot this year. I had been leaving that door cracked open and hoping for someone else to walk through it (instead of walking through it myself) and it didn’t happen. Also got a pretty clear message saying they had no intention or desire to walk through that door. I’m far too drained on that subject now to even be bothered by it. I’m not the type of person to quit on something but at some point I have to learn that it’s not always my responsibility to do ALL the work. If I’m working harder at something than everyone else, it’s time to let it go and let nature take it’s course. When one door closes another opens, right? Even though it’s sad that all that work has clearly meant NOTHING, I feel liberated! It’s like I traded my roots for wings!

Unfortunately, another weekend has just about bit the dust and I only accomplished one of the things I had set out to do. Honestly, I don’t even know what I spent all day yesterday doing. Other than grocery shopping and painting my nails, anyway. I made one new set of stamps for Bliss MB and that was it. I think what happens is that the board is so dead on the weekends that I don’t feel like working on it much even though I save all this work to do on it over the weekends. I remember a few years ago it was just the opposite, dead during the weeks and crazy active on the weekends. I guess that’s what happens when the members grow up. You no longer spend the weekend parked in front of a computer, you get out and do stuff. Nonetheless, it sorta depresses me and ruins my motivation to do any work on the board when there’s nobody around to do it for. Plus I feel like I’m the only one even trying to do something for the board on the weekends (all quotas go out the window apparently). I think this means we definitely need to find someone to put on staff that is likely to be on during the weekend because even I am not around on the weekends for the most part.

But enough of that! Today was pretty awesome. It’s great to start off a week with a really practical Church sermon that really is something I needed to hear. We were wrapping up a series called Surrender and today was about surrendering “People Pleasing” and instead focus on Pleasing God. I know for me I’m always trying to make everyone else happy. I obsess over being criticized and I obsess when I do something stupid/say something stupid because I care greatly what others think of me. And even though I know that it only matters what God thinks about me, it’s really easy to forget that. So today it was really something I needed to hear and now I feel really refreshed and rejuvenated having that reminder. I’m going to try and keep up that thinking from here on out and use the Web Notes to hopefully give that mindset some roots.

In addition, keeping with my obsession with dreams. I’ve decided I’m going to start training myself to lucid dream. It’s crazy how I already do some of the things that guide suggests but I’m really excited to actively try this out. Dreams have always fascinated me and after seeing Inception that fascination has only increased tenfold. I’m even going to pull out my old dream guide book and dive back into that. I still need to find a dream journal or something that I can use to record my dreams in as well as get another journal for creative expression. I’ve been feeling really inspired creative-wise as well thanks to hitREcord.org. I’ve RECorded for some collaborations and just being on that website browsing everyone’s creations makes me feel happy and inspired and I want to learn to do new things and experiment and create!

In an effort to try and focus my thoughts, I thought I should post a blog. I’m having a really frustrating night. It’s not that anything is going on that’s stressing me out. I just know that I have a To-Do List that is really long and elaborate and I don’t feel like doing anything but I don’t even know what I feel like doing. As confusing as that probably sounds, you can probably understand why I’m frustrated. What is my problem? I hate how lazy and unproductive I feel lately and I hate looking back and thinking “If I had been doing this instead of that, then…” and yet that’s been popping up into my head lately. I wonder where I would be right now if I had stuck with pixel-art back when I was a young teenager. Would I be one of those really elaborate pixel artists? Or what if instead of playing video games and reading books, I had instead mastered an instrument or say started sketching all the time, where would I be now?

So now here I am again.. I have a long list of “productive” things I could be doing and instead I want to watch a movie or play a video game. I wonder how different my life would be if I stopped wasting so much time and instead accomplished something worthwhile? I wonder what I could accomplish if I could just follow through on ONE thing. I think my biggest flaw is that I really don’t follow through on anything.

This year I set out to be more confident and to learn to love myself for who I am. I think next year I will learn to follow through and accomplish great things as a result! Anyway, in the spirit of following through, here’s my generalized To-Do list. Which will probably seem silly and easy, but for me it actually requires a lot of time and focus. Some of these aren’t very important and they aren’t in any particular order either.

Figure out what I want and what I need to email Tawni for my Dad’s website.

Set up the other pages on this blog.

Work on Bliss MB. Put up accepted themes, make stamps, edit/update some things cosmetically, etc.

Set aside time to practice playing my guitar.

Make/sell some jewelry which also requires some promotion.

Find time to use my new camera more and better my photography!

Clean out the two spare rooms in the house. Throw away old junk and rearrange furniture.

Wreck This Journal. Use it more. Finish it. Practice those creative skills.

Write more. Creatively. Expressively. Instinctively.

And those are just the ones I can think of. I think that might be my problem. I can’t do all of those. I need to pick and choose. That would be another flaw I have. My attention span? It doesn’t allow me to focus on one, two, three or four things only. It challenges me to try new things constantly. I get bored easily. I jump from one thing to another way too often. It’s just who I am. I’m actually quite worried that this might mean I’ll never be able to be in a serious relationship for an extended period of time. I get so bored. Point me in the direction of man who can either tolerate this or share this trait or else the relationship might be doomed to fail before it ever begins.

Anyway.. just another self-reflecting post. Hopefully this will at least offer some direction, at least over the next few days. So.. tell me, looking back, are there things you wish you hadn’t spent time on and instead spent that time doing something else? What was it and would should you have been doing instead?

Going to post a quick blog tonight because I’m going to watch a movie on Netflix as research for a debate. I should first mention I am absolutely not the debating type. I usually avoid knockdown throw-down conflicts. However, when I’m really passionate about something and someone with a high and mighty attitude tries to throw out their opinion like it’s the only one that matters, I get really fired up. It’s really the only time I’m ever outspoken.

I’m sorry but I just can’t respect your opinion if you decide to basically insult anyone and everyone who has a different point of view. So I have this flaw when something like that happens, I like to get my facts straight so I investigate their claims and then come back with a valid, respectful opinion. Anyway, just a disclaimer/warning to all of you out in Cyberspace. If you want me to listen to your opinion and acknowledge that it’s your prerogative to have a different opinion, try being respectful about it!

In other news, Friendship Week is going really well on Bliss MB. A lot more people are participating than I originally thought which is really awesome. It actually instills a little bit more confidence to have another event again soon. I’ve been hesitant to have many events since the trainwreck one we had in September last year and the October one that I completely went about the wrong way (Note to self: Don’t have everyone who would participate play a role IN the event). Some new members have been joining and things appear to be going in a more active direction. Still need to find some good quality staff members that are all about bringing exciting ideas to the table and encouraging activity as well as at least one person to be a Stamp Staff member!

And finally.. Katy Perry’s new song ‘Not Like The Movies’ is probably my new favorite song. Her album is going to be amazing. I cannot waaaaait! Check it out if you haven’t heard it, yet!

FRIDAY! Oh how I have missed thee! It was quite a challenging week this week, but I made it through. Mostly due in part to reading and playing Nancy Drew games. I completely admit playing Nancy Drew while at work in my downtime instead of actually doing my daily duties. However, it worked out because I was able to catch up and even get ahead towards the end of today so I felt really accomplished and then suddenly extremely hyper. It was also a very pleasant surprise when the power went out about 30 minutes before closing time so I got to leave 20 minutes early!

I had planned to blog more often this week but clearly that didn’t work out so well. It’s a slow process but I’m getting there! I’ve been trying to work on blissmb.net quite a bit lately. Definitely looking for some more people to help out now. I had quite a few people step down from staff positions and then I had to finally bite the bullet and take down people who clearly don’t share the passion/motivation for it anymore. Which honestly really breaks my heart and I had a really rough time sending that u2u and doing that. It feels like a farewell on a big chunk of my life.

Anyway moving on because life is far too short to be down! I’m trying to embrace positivity and move forward! I feel like I’ve really taken huge steps this year towards bettering myself. I’ve let go of things in my life that had me shackled, I’ve been actively working towards being more confident and social and I’m honestly starting to feel like I’m coming into my own finally. It’s also nice being able to get more acquainted with other people who I didn’t have or didn’t give a chance otherwise. Very refreshing, indeed!

Speaking of refreshing.. in light of seeing Inception and even long before I’ve been so fascinated by dreams. I even started writing something centered around dreams (which I now feel I can never pursue because it could never amount to anything now that Inception has completely explored that avenue). Still reeling from seeing Inception my dreams have been going crazy lately. I’ve been having (and remembering bits and pieces) anywhere from 3-5 dreams every night. Last night was no exception. I remember one dream in particular where I was hanging out with some kids (grown up in the dream) that were in my 4th Grade class and watching in wonder as a man repaired 7-Eleven’s sign and another which I can’t remember anything other than WHO was in it. As a result I have become eerily obsessed with Joseph Gordon-Levitt (he was the one in the dream in case you aren’t following). I’ve always found him to be absolutely adorable but now thanks to this dream he hasn’t wandered far from my thoughts today. As such, I spent a portion of today cyberstalking. Found his twitter and stumbled upon his incredibly fascinating hitRECord.org production company. Such an awesome concept and now it’s making me want to hit RECord and create and collaborate! Definitely check it out if you’re a creative type like me!

Also another random thing I’m excited about lately. Is my new amazing sheets! Got them from Wal-Mart and they’re so soft and cool to the touch and mmmmm! I’ve slept so good since I got them! Plus they’re really cute and colorful! What can I say? I love colorful stuff because it makes me feel all cheerful and happy.

Finally, I’m going to spend a bit of time this weekend working on sending out the August Newsletter for Bliss MB as well as kicking off another Friendship Week! An event we had last year that was pretty successful and something that encouraged members to get to know other members as well as be willing to get out there online and offline and make new friends or catch up with old ones! I’m excited about bringing it back and hopefully it will revive the board a little in these last few weeks of Summer! Definitely stop by if you want to participate!

It’s true. Some call it procrastinating, I guess. I’m not really a procrastinator but I guess I feel like with certain things if I continue to ignore it or let it run it’s course, maybe it will work itself out and I won’t have to take action.

In most cases, this is completely false. Either things never change or they completely spin out of control. In light of that, I think I’ve finally come to a place in my life where I no longer accept either of those circumstances. I’m taking charge and making changes and keeping things IN CONTROL from now on. I set out this year to live my life in a way that is best for me. In <strike>some cases</strike> most cases this has involved challenging myself to step out of my comfort zone. I think, despite the many lows of 2010, this year is shaping up to be an integral year in my life. Lots of growth on my end, but there is still lots of room for more growth!

So enough of my self-reflection. Time for some fun blog topics! First off.. Best Movie of 2010. Yes, I realize 2010 isn’t quite over yet but I don’t see another movie winning this title. I’ve seen Inception twice already. Absolutely BRILLIANT movie. I haven’t seen a movie that creative, original, mind-blowing since The Matrix, which incidentally almost even has the same sorta theme. It’s nice to watch a movie that completely challenges you to think and discuss and just completely engages your mind. So amazing. If you haven’t seen it yet, do yourself a favor and see it in the theaters. You won’t regret it. Just make sure you pay attention! It’s one of those movies that might completely confuse you if you aren’t paying attention.

And secondly, new blog layout by the super talented Tawni over at Forever Design Studio! She’s also going to help me with a little surprise for my Dad which I’m really excited about! I gotta get cranking on all the details though so I can get it done as soon as possible! Anyway I still need to set up the pages and add a bit more stuff in the columns but let me know what you think! I promise I will definitely be posting on a more regular basis now as well as finding some more blogs to connect with!

Today I leave you with a question. What are some things in your life that you put on the back burner that could probably use your attention?

Here we go again! It’s been over a week since my last blog. I really need to work out some sort of schedule so that I can make sure to blog every day! I miss it and I think the more often I blog the more interesting my entries get. Otherwise I feel like they’re long and boring. In fact I only remembered to blog today because Angel forcefully reminded me to.

I had my first experience greeting for my church on June 27th which ended up being a breeze and so much more fun that I originally thought. It was pretty exciting too because I ended up being on the same greeting team as someone from one of my old Community Groups who I absolutely love as well as serving during the same service as someone else from that community group. It was like a little reunion! Also found out that they, as well well as a few other friends of ours, will also be moving to the new campus in the Fall! I greet every other Sunday so I’m a greeter again this Sunday. I was going to see about working it out so my sister’s could ride with me and attend the 6PM service (so they can have a break and not wake up so early on a Sunday) and then maybe hit up a movie afterward, but I guess we’ll see!

Other than that, I’ve still been playing quite a bit of Aion. My Sorcerer is now level 25 and right now I don’t even know what to do because there is a lot going on at this level. I hear a lot of people say that you want to be grinding in the abyss until level 30. So I guess we’ll see how it goes. I was getting a bit frustrated yesterday though, because I wanted to just relax and play on my Scout a bit and I got hunted down and then given a lecture as to what I should be doing and deciding to “help” me without asking first. I’m sorry buddy, but just because you’ve leveled 5 characters from 1-10 doesn’t mean you know more than me. Quite frankly I can level much faster without your bothersome presence.

Speaking of Games, Steph got me hooked on a game for the iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad and I swear to God, I can’t stop playing. It’s called GodFinger and it’s so adorable and so addictive. Basically you have your own planet and you are “God” of it. So you control Wonders (like rain, sunshine, lightning etc.) and your followers will work and earn you money which you can use to buy more buildings/decor for your island. It’s so adorable. Definitely check it out if you have an iPhone, iPod Touch or an iPad. It’s free too!

I’m still going strong with Weight Watchers and it’s funny too, because everytime I turn around I hear about or find out someone else I know is also doing Weight Watchers now! It’s like an entire movement! I’ve been trying a lot of the Weight Watchers products and I haven’t found anything that I don’t like yet. I’ve tried numerous Smart Ones meals (which I bring for lunch instead of getting fast food with the office), some WW icecream and next I bought a box of chocolate eclairs to try! YUMMY! So far my total is 23 pounds lost. I’ll admit I haven’t been doing as good because I kinda splurged last week and ate steak, lobster, cookies, AMC movie nachos, candy, etc. So I only lost half a pound, but overall I’m still losing! Plus I can tell I’ve lost a lot of inches. I’ve been wearing the same pairs of jeans since I started and everyday I wear them I feel them getting baggier and baggier. It was also exciting last week because someone that didn’t know I joined Weight Watchers actually NOTICED I had lost weight! It feels great and I’m really excited about what the future holds for me! I’m thinking about changing up my exercise a bit and try out the 30 Day Shred. I got the weight loss in progress now I need something to tone up my muffintop and jiggly bits. I’m excited, motivated and energized! So ready!

My holiday weekend was splendid. I took Thursday and Friday off and it was nice to actually have days off where I could RELAX instead of using it to do housework. I went to my Dad’s on Saturday, Sunday and Monday for boat rides and we were forced to quit early on Sunday when the boat motor overheated. I think it was just God getting us off the water though, because shortly afterwards there was a horrible boat accident just right across the creek from my Dad’s pier. In fact, my Dad heard it happen, he said it sounded like an explosion. Two of his neighbors (who live just a couple/few doors down) jumped on their boat/jet-ski to the rescue. It sounded really horrifying and one of the ladies on the boat passed away from her injuries. So sad but I’m glad she was an organ donor and that hopefully that gives some peace to her family/friends. My thoughts and prayers go out to that family and the people on that boat who will never get that image out of their head, I’m sure.

My Dad also set off some fireworks on Sunday night and the weather was absolutely perfect so it was nice just sitting out on his gorgeous deck, by the pool watching the fireworks. I miss hanging out on the deck over there. Especially at night when there’s low humidity.

Anyway, I hope you all had a good Holiday weekend! Please share if you did anything particularly interesting! As for me, it’s time to get back to work.
