IS IT FRIDAY YET? That’s my motto for this week. I pretty much said that rolling into work for the first time of the week. I long for the workdays we had a few months ago when Dad was out on Sales calls nearly every day of the week. Business has been slow though, so that means he’s been in the office more bothering the heck out of us and making sure he explains to us how to do the jobs we’ve been doing without any problems for years. Lord, love him, though. I don’t know what we’d do without him. I just wish he’d calm down because it’s not good for his health and all it does is make us all irritated and unhappy.

I had a pretty chill weekend and I certainly spoiled my Mom for Mother’s Day! I got her some new kitchen knives (which are AMAZING), a new portable coffee cup, and a George Foreman Grill! Which she’s been eyeing for years and even more now that we can’t go out and cook on our grill in the summer without getting eaten alive by the mosquitoes that have decided to call our pool house their own person breeding grounds. I also made her breakfast and dinner (Filet Mignons on the new grill)!

For the rest of the weekend I pretty much lazed around and spent my time in Azeroth. I took quite a break from World of Warcraft after I finished all the World Event achievements a couple months ago, but time is running out before the next expansion and I want to get my Hunter to 80, and get my Mage the Loremaster achievements before ALL the old classic quests are changed. On top of that, I’ve decided I won’t continue leveling my Hunter (she’s 74) until I’ve caught her up on Engineering. I can’t be out in Northrend mining tons of Saronite while my Engineering is still requiring in the lower-level Outland ore. It makes for lots of ore and no bag space. And since Engineering is such a costly profession, I’ve been saving everything I get because I’m sure at some point I’m going to need it.

But I’m excited because I got my Hunter to tame one of the Rare Spirit Beasts, Arcturis, the spectral bear. Pretty sweet deal. I can’t wait to be high enough level to swipe some of the other rare spirit beasts. And somewhat related, can I stress to you all how amazing the AddOn “NPCScan” is? Wow. I bet I’ve flown over dozens of rare spawns without realizing. Just farming ore last night in Outland I found three for the “Bloody Rare” achievement all by pure accident. I guess having a heart attack when the drum alarm sounds is worth it.

And moving on from my nerdy-ness. I’ve also been really looking forward lately to all the awesome new music coming out. Yesterday the debut album from We Are The Fallen was released. I’ve really been looking forward to it because the band is basically three of the ORIGINAL band members from Evanescence with Carly Smithson (former American Idol contestant) singing vocals.

It’s very reminiscent of the “Fallen” Evanescence era. After Ben Moody left, Evanescence just wasn’t the same and I’m glad to have a piece of that back. Besides, Carly is irish and way more gorgeous than Amy Lee. I’m really digging it though, I can’t stop listening to it. So everyone should check it out! Hope you all are having a great week!

I really had planned to catch up on a lot of the things I have to get done today, but once again had no luck. There are a number of things I want to get done regarding TB, some jewelry to make, Christmas shopping to do, and then some. However, instead of doing any of that, the weather made me lazy, not to mention I got calls from work a couple times (Ya know.. I think the last time I saw that file it was under my bed), had to pick up my sister from school because they were tied up at work and even had to go in for a few minutes after dropping her off because apparently nobody else knows how to work a camera and send pictures as an attachment in an email. Funny, since I’m pretty sure two people there have sent me pictures in an email before.

Anyway, so yeah.. pretty pissed about that wasting my afternoon. I mean it doesn’t seem like a lot but it’s just enough to screw up my afternoon and my plans to get stuff done. Especially since coming home in a pissy mood doesn’t really help the motivation for the rest of the day. Thankfully I have Thursday and Friday off, though! A much needed break and since the business will actually be CLOSED that means no calls from work! I will definitely be getting my stuff done towards the end of this week, at least!

I’ve also been playing Aion more than I care to admit. Mostly just trying out the different classes. I made a Warrior who is now a Templar and I really quite like it. I also made a Priest which isn’t so bad. But I do miss playing a Ranger and a Sorcerer so I’ll probably end up making two more characters. I haven’t hit that slump yet at level 13, and I’m really curious if it’s as big of an issue because I did notice they added some quests in the starting areas. If there’s a slump though, I’ll lose interest quick. So we’ll see how it goes.
