Here we go again! It’s been over a week since my last blog. I really need to work out some sort of schedule so that I can make sure to blog every day! I miss it and I think the more often I blog the more interesting my entries get. Otherwise I feel like they’re long and boring.
In fact I only remembered to blog today because Angel forcefully reminded me to.
I had my first experience greeting for my church on June 27th which ended up being a breeze and so much more fun that I originally thought. It was pretty exciting too because I ended up being on the same greeting team as someone from one of my old Community Groups who I absolutely love as well as serving during the same service as someone else from that community group. It was like a little reunion! Also found out that they, as well well as a few other friends of ours, will also be moving to the new campus in the Fall! I greet every other Sunday so I’m a greeter again this Sunday. I was going to see about working it out so my sister’s could ride with me and attend the 6PM service (so they can have a break and not wake up so early on a Sunday) and then maybe hit up a movie afterward, but I guess we’ll see!
Other than that, I’ve still been playing quite a bit of Aion. My Sorcerer is now level 25 and right now I don’t even know what to do because there is a lot going on at this level. I hear a lot of people say that you want to be grinding in the abyss until level 30. So I guess we’ll see how it goes. I was getting a bit frustrated yesterday though, because I wanted to just relax and play on my Scout a bit and I got hunted down and then given a lecture as to what I should be doing and deciding to “help” me without asking first. I’m sorry buddy, but just because you’ve leveled 5 characters from 1-10 doesn’t mean you know more than me. Quite frankly I can level much faster without your bothersome presence.
Speaking of Games, Steph got me hooked on a game for the iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad and I swear to God, I can’t stop playing. It’s called GodFinger and it’s so adorable and so addictive. Basically you have your own planet and you are “God” of it. So you control Wonders (like rain, sunshine, lightning etc.) and your followers will work and earn you money which you can use to buy more buildings/decor for your island. It’s so adorable. Definitely check it out if you have an iPhone, iPod Touch or an iPad.
It’s free too!
I’m still going strong with Weight Watchers and it’s funny too, because everytime I turn around I hear about or find out someone else I know is also doing Weight Watchers now! It’s like an entire movement! I’ve been trying a lot of the Weight Watchers products and I haven’t found anything that I don’t like yet. I’ve tried numerous Smart Ones meals (which I bring for lunch instead of getting fast food with the office), some WW icecream and next I bought a box of chocolate eclairs to try! YUMMY! So far my total is 23 pounds lost. I’ll admit I haven’t been doing as good because I kinda splurged last week and ate steak, lobster, cookies, AMC movie nachos, candy, etc. So I only lost half a pound, but overall I’m still losing! Plus I can tell I’ve lost a lot of inches. I’ve been wearing the same pairs of jeans since I started and everyday I wear them I feel them getting baggier and baggier. It was also exciting last week because someone that didn’t know I joined Weight Watchers actually NOTICED I had lost weight! It feels great and I’m really excited about what the future holds for me! I’m thinking about changing up my exercise a bit and try out the 30 Day Shred. I got the weight loss in progress now I need something to tone up my muffintop and jiggly bits.
I’m excited, motivated and energized! So ready!
My holiday weekend was splendid. I took Thursday and Friday off and it was nice to actually have days off where I could RELAX instead of using it to do housework. I went to my Dad’s on Saturday, Sunday and Monday for boat rides and we were forced to quit early on Sunday when the boat motor overheated. I think it was just God getting us off the water though, because shortly afterwards there was a horrible boat accident just right across the creek from my Dad’s pier. In fact, my Dad heard it happen, he said it sounded like an explosion. Two of his neighbors (who live just a couple/few doors down) jumped on their boat/jet-ski to the rescue. It sounded really horrifying and one of the ladies on the boat passed away from her injuries. So sad but I’m glad she was an organ donor and that hopefully that gives some peace to her family/friends. My thoughts and prayers go out to that family and the people on that boat who will never get that image out of their head, I’m sure.
My Dad also set off some fireworks on Sunday night and the weather was absolutely perfect so it was nice just sitting out on his gorgeous deck, by the pool watching the fireworks. I miss hanging out on the deck over there. Especially at night when there’s low humidity.
Anyway, I hope you all had a good Holiday weekend! Please share if you did anything particularly interesting! As for me, it’s time to get back to work.
Things have been pretty good this last week! I guess I should knock on wood after saying that because I probably just jinxed it, but honestly it’s been quite a while since I actually felt this good physically and emotionally.
First off I’ve been playing Aion again with my little sister, Angel (and her sister), Kristin and Caity and it’s been such a blast playing with other people! Right now we’re still all just trying to decide on which characters we want to play primarily and trying to get more people to join up with us and play! I’ve convinced Keight and Heather to play a trial and hopefully they’ll enjoy it as well!
Anyway, If you’re interested in playing, let me know and I’ll send you a referral! Referred friends get hooked up with goodies! And we’d love to have more people to play with, especially since we’re thinking about starting our own Legion! Here is a screenshot of my Sorcerer to maybe get you interested!

It’s been really nice though and a good escape to help me get over some of my frustrations/struggles lately, which have also somewhat improved lately. I’ve been trying to just push through and keep going regardless of what people think or what’s going on because honestly I’m exhausted and I’m not going to keep tending a plant that just doesn’t appear to like the climate, so to speak.
On another note, I attended that Church Volunteer Orientation on Wednesday night and the surprising thing was I wasn’t really that nervous for it. Usually I get really anxious doing something like that, but this just felt right. And then I walked in to find two of my friends, one of which I hadn’t seen in a while (we go to different service times) and it was nice to briefly catch up and have a few laughs. I decided to be a Greeter on the Host Team for the new site opening in the Fall and I’m going to be greeting every other Sunday at the 6PM service to get trained. Plus I found out this morning that one of the other greeters at the 6PM service is a lady from one of my past Community Groups and she is so nice and easy to talk to so I’m really excited about being able to serve with her! They also still keep saying that they think the new location will be in my city so that is great news for me! Driving 30 minutes to get to church is a bit much!
So that about does it for now! I’ll try to post again soon. I greet for the first time on Sunday and then we’re going to see Eclipse at midnight on Tuesday night!
I guess we’ll see how that goes and I should have plenty to talk about as well! Hope you all have a great weekend!
